Told you it was going to be in my colour scheme =D - red, black, white and blue.

The stripes at the back was a last minute decision. I had originally thought of spending more time on creating a background of shooting stars and desert cliffs. But, I think the lines do just fine. They both echo my blog banner, as well as give homage to Nao's spiderwoman robe. >D

Also, the headband and colour scheme really reminds me of April Eagle from Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs... Man, do I feel old.

Inspired by the anime Mai-Otome. Ooo, I want a robe too! Nao kicks ass! It's good seeing the old cast from Mai-HiME back, and without the angst. They've suffered enough in the first season.

LoL, she does seem to be saying, "Bring it on," doesn't she? That's how I've been feeling nowadays. I draw what I feel. Also, listening to Sei Otome no Inori from the Mai-Otome soundtrack drove the feel of this picture.

Black and White went faster than I expected. I picked up a few more tips on how to use layers too.

Going to tackle colouring this next, while applying those new techniques. I've got her colour scheme in mind - MY colour scheme.

Shades of grey

My first and last attempt at shading on computer. I scrapped it because I thought it didn't work, until a friend came over and said she liked it. I want to give shading and toning on the computer a shot again, once I have time.
